Overview

The Sales Associate program is designed to prepare those entering into our sales force and to understand the appropriate processes as well as the current business environment. This is done to assist in integrating the Sales Associates into their new sales positions as well as to have an immediate impact on sales numbers.

Responsibilities

  • Shadows Sales Representatives
  • Promotes the sales of solutions
  • Maintains records of calls made using CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from trade shows, direct mail responses, aged leads dealer resellers, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources
  • Handles inbound sales leads and pass onto Sales Representatives
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships
  • Prepares reports of business transactions
  • Works with sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems
  • Provide high quality service to customer and prospects
  • Meet or exceed all call quotas
  • Qualify prospects by applying DLT Sales Process
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required and at least 1 year of sales or customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Computer literate; comfortable working in a database environment

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work in a faced fast paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to make cold calls
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal)
