As a Sales Representative I you will uncover new sales opportunities within an assigned territory. You'll identify, nurture, and close opportunities with both new and existing customers, manage forecasts on a quarterly basis, and track customer data. This is a great opportunity to work collaboratively with internal and external partners to improve business and create solutions that serve both vendor partners and DLT customers. 


  • Manage and maintain geographic or public sector specific territory
  • Developssuccessful relationships with vendor representatives and customers
  • Provide sales support to vendor parnter sales professionals
  • Makes outbound contact with potential and existing customers to follow-up on open opportunities, qualify leads, sell products and services
  • Engage in prospecting activities to identify new business opportunities and performs initial customer needs assessment
  • Manage business, customer activity, and data in CRM
  • Manage and maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecasting 
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems.
  • Continuing education maintaining and updating product knowledge, selling skills, and sales tools
  • Achieve assigned sales quota
  • Some potential travel throughout assigned territory to visit customers or to attend trade shows up % travel 
  • Other related duties as assigned

Knowledge and Experience

  •  Education: High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2+ years relevant work experience
  • 1+ years quota carrying experience 
  • Proven ability to attain and exceed sales quota goals
  • Ability to build and sustain quality relationships, while providing excellent customer service
  • Demonstrate effective selling skills including communication, negotiation, objection handling, and closing techniques 
  • Experience using and managing CRM

Skills and Abilities

  • Business Acumen
  • Previous sales experience in IT and/or public sector sales  
  • Experience with sales forecasting
