The ideal candidate will play a  pivotal role in implementing a data-driven process to modernize the company’s marketing efforts. The position will partner with members of the sales, marketing, and OCTO teams to enable insight into our audience acquisition strategies for both DLT and our clients.

The SEO/ Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for defining the strategy for, and ensuring the execution of, initiatives related to improving contact data quality, contact acquisition, marketing persona development, data unification and data access. This role also will be responsible for identifying improvements in the three major areas of Search Engine Optimization: keyword research, on-page optimization and content marketing. He/she will be strategically focused on the governance and management of the marketing database  and how it can be leveraged to drive more effective marketing while driving increased value to our clients.

 

The SEO/Marketing Data Analyst will have ownership of the DLT marketing database and be tasked with identifying ways to improve the overall quality of the data, mapping contacts to target buyer personas, and drive strategic initiatives to improve lead quality for follow-up by sales.

 

This role reports to the Director, Marketing Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Define the strategic agenda for marketing data management
  • Prioritize initiatives and maintain a roadmap for data management improvements
  • Define the data acquisition strategy to ensure that desired levels of breadth and quality are achieved
  • Work closely with campaign managers to drive successful SEO strategies
  • Work with other functions (e.g. sales operations, IT) to develop a broader master data management strategy
  • Set up, manage, and optimize client SEO/SEM campaigns
  • Conduct keyword search/consulting, conversion rate optimization, and manage PPC spend
  • Establish ongoing coordination with Web, sales operations and IT teams to ensure visibility into changes to data and architecture
  • Create the measurement plan for data management, including database readiness metrics and metrics that capture the impact of database readiness on downstream marketing processes
  • Communicate data management status, progress and success
  • Report on key performance indicators and present effectively to senior management

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in computer science, marketing or business
  • Three or more years of data management leadership experience
  • Proven experience driving data quality initiatives, joining data from disparate systems and finding new ways to provide data consumers easy access to the information they need
  • Minimum 2-3+ years PPC campaign management and SEO strategy experience
  • Current data cleansing, warehousing and unification strategies and tools
  • Marketing best practices and challenges for data consumers

Skills and Abilities

  • MAP, SFA, Web systems including Marketo
  • Power user of data analytics tools. Competency in performing sentiment analysis and influencer analysis/mapping.
  • Ability to work with business owners and data consumers to define data and reporting requirements
  • Ability to provide a vision and act as an advocate for data management
  • Roadmapping and prioritization
  • Partner with teammates to drive campaigns by converting data into actionable strategies.
  • Budget management
