As a Sales Manager you will oversee and support the sales team.  You will develop strategy and direction for sales success. You will monitor team metrics to identify gaps for improvement via motivation, coaching, and professional development.  Ultimately, you will build a high-performing sales team, while cultivating successful vendor partner and customer relationships.  


  • Develop and implement sales initiatives, programs, and strategy to drive team success, goal attainment, and annual revenue growth 
  • Assess strengths and opportunities of team and coach, manage, develop accordingly
  • Provide on the floor support to team as needed to drive sales process 
  • Manage sales reporting and data analysis for decision making and communications with sales executive leadership
  • Manage and ensure sales pipeline development and forecasting accuracy 
  • Build and promote strong, sustainable customer relationships 
  • Drive vendor partnership and relationship strategy to  
  • Partner closely with sales support functions in the organization to promote knowledge and success among team 

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years relevant sales experience with  1+ years leadership responsibilities 
  • Experience driving sales process from plan to completion with consistent success in meeting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring, and developing others driving enhanced performance
  • Strong business acumen and industry expertise
  • Proven track record of continuous education driving own professional development 

Skills and Abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful experience selling IT solutions to the public sector
  • Understanding of government contracting and procurement process
  • Experience implementing coaching methodologies to drive professional growth of employees
