Overview

As a DLT Senior Cloud Engineer, you will provide timely delivery of cloud and system services to the user community in compliance with corporate service delivery standards, timelines, and customer requirements

Responsibilities

  • Designs, implements, and maintains the organization's Cloud infrastructure
  • Provides an architectural framework for information systems development, maintenance, and efficiency efforts
  • Understands business user and processes, and ensures those requirements can be achieved through technical automation and workflows. Works closely with other engineers and developers to establish road maps for applications, align development plans, and to ensure effective integration with the Cloud infrastructure
  • Monitors technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements
  • Understands the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluates the impact of changes or additions
  • Analyzes systems and performs usability testing to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, and meet security requirements. Provides tier-2 technical support to various departments and users with regards to the Cloud infrastructure
  • Serves as a liaison with vendors and third-party providers

Knowledge and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years relevant technical work experience OR 10 years of relevant technical work experience

Familiarity, knowledge, and experience in the following:

  • Enterprise Architecture, to include:
  • Compute, Database, and Storage
  • Networking and Security
  • Virtualization and Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service
  • Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Continuity of Operations
  • Infrastructure-as-Code(IaC), scripting, automation, and workflows
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skill
  • Ability to collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks to meet project deadlines

Skills and Abilities

Familiarity with:

  • Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service preferred, or Amazon Web Services' Infrastructure-as-a-Service
  • Microsoft Office 365 Software-as-a-Service
  • VMware ESX Virtualization
  • Windows Server
