  • Overview

    The Sales Representative 1 is responsible for developing pipeline sufficient to meet annual revenue goals. Maintains relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential accounts in the Oracle DoD territory to include Oracle SW, Engineered Systems and Oracle hardware and storage offerings. Generate revenue by selling Oracle's products to new and current users within the territory over the phone and through face to face contact where necessary.

    Responsibilities

    • Builds, develops and maintains relationships with customers, partners as well as the Oracle team to effect a collaborative team approach to the business
    • Travels as required to visit customers and attend trade shows
    • Undertake prospecting efforts into key targeted accounts to sell the Oracle product line
    • Work with DLT marketing to compile strategic lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information a variety of lead sources
    • Make follow up calls (via phone or face to face as needed) to potential and existing customers to qualify leads and sell Oracle products
    • Prepare price quotes/bill of materials for simple or complex requests
    • Assists in investigating and resolving customer problems
    • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts
    • Documents sales efforts, conversations and related customer contact in DLT’s SMaRT CRM tool.
    • Other related duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • 3-5 years of sales experience (Preferably in product and IT). Relevant business experience will be considered.
    • Ability to travel
    • Ability to work remotely/independently

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Reseller experience strongly desired
    • Selling experience with government contract vehicles strongly desired
    • Accurate and reliable forecasting experience. Basic math skills required
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills to include group presentation skills
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Experience with government sales preferred
    • Oracle software/sales familiarity and knowledge preferred
