DLT is currently looking for a Sr. Contracts Administrator to join our collaborative, fast-paced Contracts Team playing a key role in securing business between our market leadings vendors and our public sector customers. The successful candidate will perform day-to-day contract negotiation, risk assessment/mitigation, RFP review and memorialization of agreed upon terms to drive sales for the company. The role will provide overall support for multiple projects, coordinate with cross functional divisions, and support the contracts team to accomplish departmental objectives and goals. As such there is a need to communicate frequently, and effectively, verbally and in writing with various internal and external stakeholders.


  • Possess proven ability to effectively negotiate, execute and manage
  • Explore viable alternatives for contractual impasses – through contract alternative or term adjustments to yield desired outcomes for customers while preserving Vendors’ terms and IP rights
  • Be responsible for carefully analyzing the details of quotes and orders to ensure that terms are equitable for the company and that management is properly instructed on terms and expectations for both parties.
  • Have knowledge and experience with various software licensing structures and delivery models including perpetual, term, subscription, as a service, on premise and cloud based.
  • Coordinate actions with internal and external stakeholders and display the ability to escalate potential issues to supported teams and management as needed.
  • Coordinate the review of potential opportunities and support the “go” or no go” decision on transactions, teaming opportunities, and responses to solicitations and must communicate contractual and business risks and strategies internally and externally to stakeholders
  • Demonstrate knowledge of legal requirements involved with government contracts and commercial licensing and stay abreast of legislative and industry changes.
  • Upon contract fulfillment, ability to complete the closeout process to ensure that the contract has been completed in an appropriate manner, with no further obligations to perform.
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary, required or assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 4-6 years of contract experience selling commercial IT products to federal and state and local customers.
  • Enterprise IT licensing negotiation experience.
  • Understanding of commercial, product-oriented (particularly software, subscription and software maintenance) procurements by public entities is desired.
  • Experience with state/local contracting is a plus.
  • MS SharePoint experience is desirable.

  • Ability to lead, train and mentor junior Contract team members
  • General computer proficiency and working knowledge of MS Office applications suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Superior organizational, internal and external customer service and inter-personal skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent problem solving and communications skills
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including Sales staff, managers and external stakeholders
  • Significant attention to detail, ability to review and digest contract documents and balance risks against the bigger picture
  • Experience in prioritizing assignments along with the ability to multi-task and adjust according to meet internal and external client needs
  • Advanced understanding of contract/Purchase Order terms and conditions and detailed knowledge of the government contracting process including sole source and competitive procurements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the terms and conditions appropriate for different contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ, etc.) and their proper use
  • Detailed knowledge of source selection / evaluation process
  • Detailed knowledge of government contract administration processes including subcontract flow downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out and records retention
  • Detailed knowledge and thorough understanding of proper drafting, negotiation and use of contracts, subcontracts, teaming and other forms of agreements
  • Strong background in the use and application of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
