As a Sales Team Lead you will act as both player and coach driving personal and team performance.  You will be responsible for your assigned territory while assisting with strategic planning and implementation for your sales team.  


  • Achieve assigned territory revenue targets
  • Support sales initiatives, programs, and strategy to drive team success, goal attainment, and annual revenue growth
  • Act as a player/coach; both achieving personal territory sales objectives while coach others to successful goal attainment 
  • Provide on the floor support to team as needed to drive sales process 
  • Manage sales reporting and data analysis for decision making and communications with sales leadership
  • Manage and ensure sales pipeline development and forecasting accuracy 
  • Build and promote strong, sustainable customer relationships 
  • Partner with vendors to promote relationships and credibility  
  • Partner closely with sales support functions in the organization to promote knowledge and success among team

Knowledge and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years relevant sales experience with at least 1+ years leadership responsibility 
  • Experience driving sales process from plan to completion with consistent success in meeting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring, and developing others driving enhanced performance
  • Strong business acumen and industry expertise
  • Proven track record of continuous education driving own professional development 

Skills and Abilities

  • Successful experience selling IT solutions to the public sector
  • Understanding of government contracting and procurement process
