  • Overview

    The Senior Sales Representative I is responsible for developing pipeline sufficient to meet annual revenue goals. Maintains relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential accounts in the Quest Software CIV 3 Territory (DHS, DOE, GSA, DOJ, HHS SSA, System Integrators). Generate revenue by selling Quest products to new and current users within the territory over the phone and through face to face contact where necessary. Also Responsible for Support Renewal in the territory.

    Responsibilities

    • Interface and establish relationships with strategic partner's field sales counterparts, customer end users, and purchasing contacts
    • Pipeline development and management, forecast and drive top opportunities to closure
    • Establish and manage execution of goals including # of opportunities, outbound calls, face-to-face meetings, etc.
    • Communicate activities and opportunities to key stakeholders
    • Make outbound lead follow up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and email to qualify leads and sell products and services
    • Handle inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales
    • Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers
    • Emphasize salable features, quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales orders for orders obtained
    • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries
    • Manage Support renewals
    • Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts
    • Other job related duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years of sales experience 
    • Experience with government sales

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Product and IT sales
    • Reseller experience 
    • Knowledge of GSA Schedule and government contract vehicles 
    • Accurate and reliable forecasting experience
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Knowledge and ability to use various software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. 
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Ability to complete multiple tasks within critical deadlines
    • Basic Math skills
