  • Overview

    The Contracts Intern will provide overall support for key projects in support of the CL&P but also impactv various business units company-wide.


    The CL&P Intern supports a variety of transactions, programs and projects to help ensure CL&P goals and objectives are achieved in accordance with milestones and expectations set by the Direct of Contracts and the Sr. Director of Programs. The Intern will support completion of documents and forms for sales transactions, prepare status reports, conduct quality assurance checks and audits, update weekly and monthly dashboards, assist with program management reviews, assist with portal testing, and other activities required to deliver exceptional service to our government customers.

    Daily Work Activities and Context

    • Assist with the reconfiguration and reorganization of documents retained in DLT's Contracts database
    • Research and gather client commercial software license and service agreements and coordinate with DLT's Marketing team to posting on websites
    • Become familiar with the Contracts role in risk mitigation and its interrelationships with other corporate business units
    • Support multiple Enterprise Software License Agreements (ESLA) as assigned by the Sr. Program Manager or Sr. Director of PMO

    • Support the testing of the DLT MarketPlace as enhancements are rolled out in production

    • Coordinate with vendors to process software/subscription requests thru the established ESLA to satisfy customer requests

    • Work with DLT pricing and contracts teams to ensure ESLA product catalogs and price lists are updated to reflect current products and versions as required by contract terms and conditions

    • Synthesize ESLA statistical data and prepare reports, charts, graphs to quantify program performance, ROI, cost savings, product and customer trend analyses, and overall value to customers, vendors and DLT

    • Assist the Sr. Program Manager with the quality and assurance checks and processes for quarterly sales reports for all ESLAs.  If issues arise with the sales report, work with the DLT Sales and Billing teams to resolve

    • Assist with market research required to improve the GSA tech refresh and one-off product additions/deletions and expedite GSA modifications

    • Assist with the QA and analyses (looking up UICs, etc.) with monthly and quarterly reporting as the PMO has taken on responsibility for 30+ reports

    • Other jobs related duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Rising Junior or Senior in college pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with a particular interest in Business, Government or Commercial Contracting

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
    • Advanced skills in MS Excel, SharePoint and/or databases a plus
    • Significant attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize duties effectively
    • Comfortable interacting with multiple divisions across the company
